Título: Source apportionment of black carbon and carbonaceous matter by measurements of aerosol light absorption at multiple wavelength
Aerosolized Black Carbon (BC) is the an important climate forcing agent second only for CO2. It is also a very good indicator of undesired health effects caused by air pollution. Abatement measures implemented through national and international regulation would slow down climate change and avoid several million deaths a year globally. The effects of BC emissions are felt on global, regional and local scale. I will present our measurements relevant for all three types of consequences. We demonstrated that aggressive measures can effectively improve local air quality. We found out that wood combustion is an important air pollutant, regionally more important than traffic. Airborne measurements show how distributed small sources influence regional climate.
Gracias.
