Designer in Residence

DESIGNER IN RESIDENCE – APPLICATION DEADLINE IS NOVEMBER, 13

 In the spring of 2016 the town of Pforzheim in Germany will start the  international scholarship program “Designer in Residence”.
 “Designer in Residence” is directed towards young designers in the  areas of jewellery, fashion and product design. For each area there  will  be a scholarship for a three-month working phase at the EMMA Creative  Center in Pforzheim. The EMMA is the central platform for creative  people in Pforzheim. The scholarship holders will have access to fully  equipped workshop workplaces for jewellery, fashion and industrial  design in the Creative Center. The results of the scholarship will be  presented in an exhibition at the EMMA and in co-operation with the  Baden-Württemberg Design Center in Stuttgart.

 The decision of the scholarship holders will be made by a jury. The  jury  members are Philipp Eberle (jewellery designer, Paris), Tim Labenda  (fashion designer, Berlin), Christiane Nicolaus (director at the
 Baden-Württemberg Design Center, Stuttgart) and Alexander Schlag (managing director of yellow design, Pforzheim/ Tokyo).

 The period of residence in Pforzheim is from April 1 to June 30, 2016.
 The deadline of applications is Friday, November, 13, 2015. The date of  receipt is authoritative.
