Venue: UGR Faculty of Education. Music Seminar Room.
Organisers: Organised by the UGR International Graduate School, doctoral programme in Education, with the collaboration of the SEJ-540 Music Education Research Group.
Dates: 10 & 11 of April, 2018.

Summary of the Activity: In the seminar several methods of data collections used in educational research will be reviewed and analysed. We will see how literature review with reflective thinking can lead the researcher into developing his/her theoretical framework. Participants will be given the opportunity to understand and distinguish the differences between literature review and theoretical framework. Examples of various types of researches will be presented in order to practice how to design the right methods of data collection for each type of research (research questions, type of population, aim of research, limitations and constraints). They will have the opportunity to talk about their research projects and exchange ideas and practices on their research methodologies, data collection and theoretical framework.
