Ignacio Cirac (Max-Planck-Institut für Quantenoptik\, Garching\, Alemania)\, ofrece la conferencia «Quantum Simulation in the NISQ era»\, en el marco de la Conferencia EGAS 55. \nResumen: \nAdvancements in quantum computing have enabled the development of small-scale quantum computers and simulators that adhere to the principles of quantum physics. Despite their rapid progress\, those devices are not yet flawless and errors accumulate\, posing serious challenges to their application to relevant problems. In this talk I will review the field of quantum simulation\, focusing on platforms based on cold atoms. Then\, I will address the question of how errors affect the results of both quantum computations and the simulation of quantum many-body systems.
