The University of Granada publishes a book on valuations and appraisals

Valuation and appraisal as scientific concepts are the central object of the book “Novelties on the General Valuation Theory: Applications”, coordinated by the Professor of Quantitative methods for Economics and Business of the University of Granada, Rafael Herrerías Pleguezuelo, and published by the University of Granada in collaboration with the Fundación Euroárabe and the University Menéndez Pelayo.

The volume, with more than 200 pages, deals with the scientific and professional aspects of valuation and assessment, both of buildings and assets with artistic and cultural value, the application of neuronal nets as tools to predict the Ibex-35 or the valuation of assets of artistic value.

The book includes the contributions and proposals of the course held in 2002 on “Novelties on the General Theory of Valuation, Applications”, supervised by Rafael Herrerías Pleguezuelo. According to him, “it is the result of the collection of the most significant speeches of that course and visualizes the general quality tone of the meeting. In addition, this editorial project increases the possibilities of knowledge of a subject involving the general interests of the society, not just for its academic importance, but also for the incidence of the subject for the citizens.”
