El trabajo de investigación en el que se «determina por primera vez cuál es el peso máximo que deben llevar los niños en un carro escolar», publicada y difundido originalmente por la Oficina de Gestión de la Comunicación de la UGR, ha tenido un gran eco mediático en la India con apariciones en medios tan relevantes como «Times of India», «India Today», Hindustan Times», «The Hans India»; de igual forma, digitales internacionales de primer nivel dedicados a la divulgación científica como «Science Codex», «Science Daily» o «Medical Xpress», también han recogido la investigación liderada por miembros del Departamento de Educación Física y Deportiva de la UGR.
En un artículo publicado en la prestigiosa revista Applied Ergonomics, la segunda mejor del área de Ergonomía del Journal Citation Reports, los científicos de Universidad de Granada y la Liverpool John Moores University (Reino Unido) han establecido por primera vez a nivel mundial unas recomendaciones del peso adecuado que deben transportar los escolares de primaria cuando utilizan un carro con ruedas.
