Resumen: In this talk we will introduce new criteria which may be used to determine if the tensor product of two ideals over a commutative Noetherian domain R has torsion. In the case where R is a numerical semigroup ring this becomes equivalent to determining whether certain sets of integers are in fact equal. We will use this equivalence to determine that J tensor Hom(J,R) has torsion in some cases.
